The gala was a two-days live show from the 25th Funkausstellung IFA in Berlin intended to showcase the new technology of color TV and international artists including Gigliola Cinquetti, Freddy, Juliette Greco, Mahalia Jackson, Al Martino, Mireille Mathieu, Ulrik and Ulla Neumann, Ester and Abi Ofarim, Nini Rosso, Sonny and Cher.
